Big Dog and SOS…
Fresh out of rehab, Big Dog was hired at SOS as a Construction Manager for summer 2004.
Since his earliest days of coming to know Jesus and beginning his work at SOS, Big Dog has always felt an undeniable pull to help those most marginalized. Early on in his time with SOS, he called then-Executive Director David Montague to let him know he’d be late for his job as he was driving someone addicted to drugs and living on the street to a rehab center. David replied “Brother, you’re already doing your job.”
We recognize and affirm Big Dog's calling to compassionately serve the "least of these” and appreciate all of YOU who have helped him meet the needs of so many!
To honor his 20 years of service at SOS, we invite you to contribute to a special fund honoring and benefitting Big Dog. Donations received by June 7th will be used to establish an annuity providing long-term financial support to Marlon and his wife Jackie after his eventual retirement.
Although Big Dog isn't retiring yet, we aim to create a financial safety net that complements his existing retirement benefits. This fund will honor Marlon's selfless dedication to the vulnerable and remind him of all the ways he’s been a faithful vessel of God’s love.
