What are the SOS Summer Camp dates for 2024?

Registration opens on Wednesday, October 4th and 10 AM CST.
All weeks will be HIGH SCHOOL only. (Rising 9th graders and up.)
Each week will begin on Sunday afternoon and run through FRIDAY MORNING with full workdays Monday - Thursday.
Wednesday evening is free for you and your team to do dinner together out in Memphis and see some sights! (No dinner/programming at SOS that night)
Each week has a maximum capacity of 100 participants.
Each group can register for a maximum of 50 spots.
How do I register and pay?

The 2024 camp fee is $365/participant.
A $50/participant deposit is due upon registration via credit card through our website and the remainder of your balance is paid by check, due on May 1, 2024.
We do not accept individual registrations. You must come as a part of a group!
The cost covers housing, meals, materials, tools, programming, and an SOS camp t-shirt.

What do we do at night?
Working hard with our hands by day and learning hard with our hearts by night! Evenings at SOS center around a chapel time filled with worship, fun, and a Christ-centered message. Each participant will hear a clear and compelling invitation to a life fully lived in relationship with God and working for the good of the beloved Kingdom all around us!
On Wednesday evenings your group will be free to enjoy our city (dinner will not be provided by SOS on Wednesday night).
What do we bring?
Each volunteer needs to bring:
bedding (sleeping bag or twin sheets) & pillow
work clothes
water bottle
any personal items
Each group is responsible for their own transportation. SOS will provide all tools, materials and personal protective equipment needed.
Who supervises the participants?
Each church is responsible for bringing their own adult leaders, at least one per work team. SOS will notify you of the number of work teams you’ll divide your group into. Each work team will consist of approximately 6-9 students and at least 1 adult volunteer (age 21 years or older) from your group. SOS Staffers will host each team on the worksites.
Your adult leaders will provide evening supervision, including during lights out. Our Full-Time Staff and Summer Staff will provide programming, construction, and additional evening presence.

Groups are hosted out of the SOS Building located at 2505 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112.

What’s the weekly schedule look like?
Great question! HERE is a sample schedule for a week of SOS summer camp. Exact times and events are subject to change but this should give you a good idea of the rhythm of a week serving with us!
Who are the Summer Staff?
SOS hires approximately 25 college age men and women from around the country to serve as camp staff.

What other forms do I need?
Each participant will need to complete the appropriate liability form (18 and older or 17 and younger) and a Participant Health Form.
In addition to the two above mentioned forms, all adult leaders will also need to read and sign our Ministry Safe Camp Policies and Procedures packet. The form on page 13 must signed and turned in by every adult leader.
