30 Years

In 1986 God laid a vision on Tom Marino's heart. At the time it was a simple vision - a calling he sensed from God to equip students to be the hands and feet of Christ in response to the gospel of Jesus Christ. And in response to that vision SOS was born. It started with two youth groups in the summer of 1986- Christ United Methodist in Memphis and FUMC in Corinth, MS repairing two homes in Memphis. And now - 30 years later - God has used SOS to transform tens of thousands of lives. Nearly 1,000 homes repaired. Over 25,000 volunteers. And all to the glory and praise of God.

We're excited to celebrate all that God has done in the past 30 years! Over the coming months we'll be sharing pictures and memories of all that God has done. If you have a memory from your time at SOS we would love to hear it! Share on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and tag your post with #sos30years

We'll also have some fun ways to celebrate, including a summer staff alumni reunion this summer! Be on the lookout for more details.

To God be the glory...
