Farewell Brian!

Another one of SOS's all-stars has moved on to bigger and better things. Brian Bowe first came to SOS as a Construction Manager in the summer of 2010. After that he was an SOS Academy Intern for the 2010-2011 year and we hired him as an Assistant Construction Director in the fall of 2011 and he has been in that role since.

Brian has accepted a position with the Memphis Redbirds as their Assistant Grounds Manager. He will work alongside the Grounds Manager to make sure Autozone Park is in pristine condition for all the Redbirds' games. In the off-season he will be responsible for maintenance of Autozone Park. With his undergraduate degree in turf management and his experience managing our facility at SOS, this new job will be a perfect fit for him. And, growing up in Missouri, he's always thought it would be awesome to work for the St. Louis Cardinals. And the Redbirds just happen to be the Cardinals' Minor League Affiliate!

Brian will leave a great legacy at SOS. Anyone familiar with our facility will notice the many improvements Brian has added - sound-proofing panels in the cafeteria, various chapel improvements, water-bottle-filling water fountains, just to name a few. He has also helped improve our training and construction processes. But more than any of that, Brian represents our name like few in SOS history have. He truly models service over self in everything he does. We are thankful for him and will miss him dearly.
