Meet Our New Construction Director!
SOS Welcomes DANIEL FALLER to our Full Time Staff Team!
Daniel will join our team on May 31st as our new Construction Director. He will supervise all aspects of construction at SOS including homeowner selection and communication, planning all home repair projects, and leading and training all of our summer staff and volunteers.
Daniel grew up in California but relocated to Memphis when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Construction Management and Land Development. While in college he worked as an Electrician Assistant for a local Electrician. He also worked for 2 years as a Maintenance Technician for an apartment complex.
Since graduating college Daniel has served in various roles in the Construction Industry ranging from Field Engineer to Project Manager. Most recently he has been working as a Project Manager for Montgomery Martin Contractors where he has managed several multi-million dollar construction and renovation projects in the greater Memphis area. Daniel also has experience volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He has been married to his wife Rachel for almost 9 years and they have 2 daughters, Hannah and Ava. They are active members of Fellowship Memphis, one of SOS's partner churches.
Here’s what Daniel said when I asked him about why he is excited to join the SOS team:
I am stoked about joining the SOS team as Construction Director. Having the opportunity to mesh the world of construction with a deliberate mission-minded organization is nothing short of a dream come true. I'm looking forward to being immersed into the SOS world and jumping in with both feet to the camps this summer.
Daniel is a great leader, is passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ, has a wealth of construction knowledge and experience, and loves serving others. We are thrilled to have him join our team and can’t wait for the rest of you to meet him soon!
