Meet the Interns (p. 2)

Last week we introduced you to 3 of the 5 SOS Academy Interns.  This week we'll introduce you to the rest of the 2012-2013 SOS Academy Interns.

Ally Velderman comes to SOS from her home in the Mitten State (FYI - that's Michigan). She’s a 2010 graduate of Hope College, where she majored in pre-med and political science. Ally has an extensive knowledge of Disney and cartwheeling, and loves spending time in Northern Michigan with her family, eh. She’s passionate about politics, listening and helping people, and is spending the year interning with World Relief, working in Refugee Empowerment.

Marie Vreeland comes to Memphis as another stop on her world tour.  She was born in Northern California and now calls Wilmington, North Carolina home.  She spent her undergraduate years at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, and spent time studying abroad in Argentina, Spain, and Italy. She loves exploring new cultures and is always up for a new adventure. Marie’s best day would include boating on the North Carolina coast and spending time with her two boxers. She majored in Italian and is passionate about architecture, her friends, and fantastic food. Marie is spending the year working with World Relief in Refugee Empowerment.

As a reminder, the SOS Academy Interns are responsible for raising support during their year.  They are a HUGE blessing to our ministry, our neighborhood, and our city.  Would you consider supporting them during this year?  You can give online or mail a check.  Just be sure to designate your donation as a contribution to the SOS Academy.
