Meet the Interns! (pt. 1)

Join us in welcoming the SOS Academy Interns to Memphis!  The seven SOS Academy Interns will spend one-year serving our city as well as learning about ministry in an urban environment.  This week we'll introduce you to this year's Interns.  In true SOS fashion, "Ladies first!"  So today, meet Amanda, Becca, Lizzie, and Lyss (click here to meet the guys):

Amanda

Amanda Browning is a proud Memphian.  She attended Union University and studied Family Studies and Youth ministry.  This year Amanda will be working with the Binghampton Development Corporation.  She'll be helping with Cornerstone Prep's after-school programs and Porther Leath's Parents-as-Teachers program.  Amanda loves enjoying the outdoors in the fall (especially with her chacos on!), her Young Life girls (Go Lions!), and the Olympics.

Becca

Becca Tarleton grew up in Moscow, Russia, where her parents serve as missionaries.  She moved to Tennessee to study at Union University, where she earned a Social Work degree.  Becca will be working with the Binghampton Development Corporation where she will be learning about relational ministry and community development.  She loves a good cup of coffee, trying new foods, traveling, meeting new people, reading, and watching way too much TV.

Lizzie

Lizzie Liddell calls Memphis "home sweet home."  She graduated from the University of Memphis in 2011 with a degree in public health.  Lizzie hopes to grow a deeper heart for the people in Memphis this year.  She's working with World Relief in refugee empowerment.  Lizzie is passionate about missions, great books, and hot lattes!

Lyss

Lyss Gorman is from Dallas, Texas.  She spent the past four years in Chattanooga, Tennessee, studying Psychology at Covenant College.  This year Lyss is working with World Relief in resettling refugees who are coming to Memphis.  She loves delicious Mexican food, interior design, spending time with friends, and drinking lots of coffee.

We'll introduce you to the guys on Thursday, so stay tuned.
