SOS Culture I - Christ as Lord

Everyone in the SOS family recently celebrated SOS's 25th Anniversary.  During Friday night's alumni reunion, David Montague (former SOS Executive Director and current director of MTR) shared about the importance of culture in any organization, then he highlighted 5 distinctives that are keys to the unique SOS culture.  It's essential to keep these things in mind, so we're going to take 5 posts to highlight each of these "culture distinctives."

The first culture distinctive is that SOS believes and proclaims Christ as Lord.

"And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. -Philippians 2:8-11"

We believe that Jesus is Lord, and this shapes every single thing that we do.  It should shape your life as well, so spend time remembering that the risen Jesus is Lord over your life, Lord over SOS, and Lord over the entire universe.  The implications are massive.
