Meet Our Summer Staff: Alysha Alshimary

How did you get connected to SOS? Through some of my classmates and Mr. Pillow (2017 SOS Shop Manager) who was my English Teacher at Collegiate.

What is your role this summer?

Office assistant

What does a typical camp day look like for you?

I help serve breakfast, wash dishes & clean up the cafeteria. I also clean the bathrooms and lobby and help with any other cleaning that needs done around the building. I also help with dinner prep and staff laundry.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Sitting down and talking to the other staff during lunch. It could be something trivial or something big or something important that we talk about—we just all really connect and engage in conversations.

What is the hardest part of your job?

Getting myself out of bed in the morning! I have to be at work at 6:45 every morning.

Which summer staff has is the funniest or has the best laugh? Austin is the funniest and Mr Pillow definitely has the best laugh!
