Meet the Interns (pt. 1)

This week you get to meet three of the five 2012-2013 SOS Academy Interns: Brooke, Isaac, and Jeffrey.  Click here to Meet Ally and Marie in part two of this series.

Brooke DeBoard was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas (Woo Pig Sooie!).  She graduated high school in 2008 and moved to Missouri to attend College of the Ozarks.  After graduating in May of 2012 with a bachelors in Philosophy and Religion and a minor in Sociology Brooke moved to Memphis to participate in the SOS Academy.  Brooke is spending her year working with Cornerstone Prep, a high-achieving college preparatory school in Binghampton.  Brooke loves spending one-on-one time with people and drinking coffee, and she's excited to be a part of this exciting time at Cornerstone Prep.

Isaac McCammon was born in Sevierville, TN, but moved to Acworth, GA, where he spent much of his life. He attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and earned a degree in Business Management.  Isaac was an SOS Team Leader in 2012, which is where he was introduced to Memphis and Binghampton. He is now interning with the Binghampton Development Corporation's job training program. Isaac enjoys the outdoors, playing guitar, and eating BBQ, and he's excited to work towards the betterment of the Binghampton neighborhood with the BDC.

Jeffrey Riddle is a lifelong Tennessean and graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2010. After working for a mortgage company, Jeffrey moved to the southwest corner of the state being compelled to follow God by learning to walk through life in a new, urban environment with the SOS Academy.  He will be interning at SOS helping with homeowner relations & high school discipleship.  Big Dog may even expose him to the opportunity of evangelism amongst the streets of Memphis.  Jeffrey can be found in the fall rooting for his VOLS (V-O-L-S, GO VOLS GO!), networking with new friends (Kevin Bacon doesn’t have a thing on Jeff!), or smiling about loving life. Follow his time in Memphis at www.jeffreyriddle.net.

Stay tuned to meet Marie and Ally!

As a reminder, the SOS Academy Interns are responsible for raising support during their year.  They are a HUGE blessing to our ministry, our neighborhood, and our city.  Would you consider supporting them during this year?  You can give online or mail a check.  Just be sure to designate your donation as a contribution to the SOS Academy.
